Parry doesn't seem to be working

the level 5 guardian skill parry(15% chance of parrying an attack and dealing 2x str to opponent) doesn't seem to be working. The opponent never loses any life except from normal attacks, and I seem to be taking damage from every attack.


Every so often the hero starts doing an extra attack animation, but this extra animation always seems to happen immediately before my normal attack, and the normal attack always interrupts this animations(just thought I'd mention this because I have not seen it happen on any other hero and assume it has something to do with Parry malfunctioning).
