How about changing the durability system?
If the item reaches zero, the item effects are neglected BUT item is not destroyed.
This can be implemented [the item bonus neglection] on class specific items eg. 2 handed, 1handed, etc.
So that they can be worn by other classes. [fixes the NeoGlaive issue]
Pro's:
This way the player can leave his/her character without fear of losing the equipment.
players: but i got so much gold?
me: then keep on repairing
He/She can repair the armor/weapon once he/she checks his/her character again.
However an overtrained character can have so much gold. I suggest reducing the gained gold.
You can even make it that if the monster is too weak. It gives no gold at all.
Are there any unique items? Boss dropped, rare, etc. Ones that cannot be bought in the shop.
This way those items cannot be lost through 0 durability. They can be repaired [at the cost of maybe the original price?]
for a higher amount of gold as a compensation by making it reach such a state. This way players will be more conscious of what
they buy, how they train, and how money is managed/saved.
Con's:
Were there any? Nothing.
Just pure pro's.
Oh. Troublesome to code.
